1950's & 1960's
A story that began long ago

The history of the storage bed is a piece of Oggioni's history, a family company founded over 80 years ago, producing with innovative industrial standards (registering the very first patents in this sector) the earliest bed bases that were replacing in those years the old "elastics" (as the traditional upholstered box springs were called in Brianza).

1974
The birth.

Oggioni Ognirete was founded in 1974; the evolution from bed bases to beds and mattresses takes shape.

Oggioni focuses on the invention and production of innovative solutions for beds, replacing old upholstered box springs with slatted bed bases and mattresses.

1970's
The first beds and mattresses.

In the 1970s Oggioni accelerates its research and development pace and thus begins to create new solutions, laying in the heart of Brianza the foundations of a long history of patents and solutions for good sleep. Always with particular attention to solutions designed to improve not only sleep and nighttime, but also the living environment to be enjoyed every day.

The company also introduced the first metal beds and upholstered beds, introducing the production of mattresses such as "Le Nuvole" (The Clouds).

1980's
Azzurro. A story within a story.

The 1970s and 1980s are decisive for the development of metal beds, convertible sofas, mattresses and upholstered furniture.

New lifestyles lead to designing products conceived to have multiple functions in a single object and optimize living spaces.

1988
The storage bed is born.

The next step to the production of textile beds was automatic in a period of great success for this type.

In 1990 the first lifting mechanism for storage beds was created.

Precisely from the enrichment of these new experiences and skills, the first textile storage bed was born in 1988, a true revolution. An innovation so powerful that it quickly became the new construction standard for textile beds.

1991
The bed becomes dynamic.

In 1991 Riletto was born, the first bed that converts into a table.

1990's
The evolution.

In 1996, a new opening mechanism with innovative mechanical features was created for the Facile bed. The first completely dismountable and easily transportable storage bed, in one word: Facile (Easy)!

In 1997 Pocket was created, the first wooden storage bed, the ancestor of a large family of wooden beds.

In 1998 Oggioni presents the Bravo bed, the first storage bed with an external height of only 18 cm, which uses a specially designed ultra-compact mechanism.

2000's
Levitec^®.

In 2004 the new Levitec opening and lifting mechanism is patented and presented, marking a new decisive turning point in the evolution of the storage bed.   

The Pongo storage bed is presented, in wood and with side bookcases.

The Golf project continues to develop and expand, designed to offer single beds customizable in every single detail, suitable for every type of style and environment.

An already long history, but with still many new chapters to write.

2020's
The evolution continues.

In these years the company has continued to produce quality storage beds, contributing to the success and popularity of this space-saving solution.

Oggioni expands its storage bed offering with several successful models, such as the Plio Bed and variants with storage, maintaining attention to both design and practicality of use.

The search for quality materials continues, offering models made of solid wood, leather and fabric. The product range is increasingly wide: accessories, mattresses and bedding complete the offering. The network of retailers now covers Italy extensively from North to South as well as sales points abroad.

2024
Our first 50 years.

In 2024 we proudly celebrated Oggioni's first 50 years.  

Years in which we dealt with bed bases, mattresses, sofas that became beds. We invented beds that became tables, beds that became storage and much more, earning appreciation from a very wide audience.

For these first 50 years Oggioni thanks its customers, its suppliers, its contractors, its agents and above all its collaborators thanks to whom all this has been possible.

Today
The story continues.

The company, family-owned and with over 80 years of experience, is today a recognized specialist in the sector of storage beds and more, mattresses, bed bases, benches, armchairs, nightstands and textile accessories. 
A vast catalog of over 400 products, always with a strong emphasis on 100% Made in Italy quality, a fundamental value for the company.

But innovation and the search for the best solutions never stop.
